Tohatchi, NM – Tohatchi Elementary School is excited to invite our Cougar Cub families to our Family Arts & Literacy Night on Monday, September 28, 2026, from 5:30–7:00 PM.

This special evening will bring reading, creativity, and family learning together through fun, hands-on activities designed for students and their families. Families will have opportunities to explore stories, use their imagination, create art, and experience how literacy can come alive beyond the classroom.

One of the evening's featured activities will encourage families to read and discuss a story together and then use art and creativity to represent their understanding. Through activities like these, students will practice important literacy skills while developing their ability to think critically, communicate ideas, and express themselves creatively.

Family Arts & Literacy Night is also an opportunity for parents and guardians to connect with their children through learning and discover simple ways to make reading meaningful and enjoyable at home.

At Tohatchi Elementary, we believe that families are important partners in every child's learning journey. We hope you will join us for an evening of stories, creativity, connection, and fun!
