Expectations and Attendance
This month, we really highlighted expectations at Tohatchi Elementary School and in all of our classes. Friday, September 5, 2025, we have an attendance incentive for those who met specific attendance rates, and we will conduct a larger end of quarter incentive for attendance. We want to make a goal to have students come to school as often as possible and emphasize being on time, as well. We know that part of student success means being consistently at school. We thank parents and the community for promoting this at home, too! On September 12, 2025, we have a growth mindset assembly, where we will talk more about growth mindset in action.
Safety First
We have been conducting many drills to make sure we are a safe school. We want our staff and students to be prepared in case of an emergency. This month we will do more "spontaneous" drills so that students are prepared without knowing the specific time. We thank parents and the community for help making our school safe by checking into the Verkada system, using the cross walks outside, and reporting any issues immediately. We know safety is foundational to school success!
Next, the DARE program will be coming to TOE soon. We will give out more information on this soon!
