Dear Families,
We had a successful first week at Tohatchi Elementary School. From Open House, to the Superintendent visiting, to our school assemblies - it was a busy but productive week!
We appreciate everyone being patient in the new pick-up and drop-off process, and it should get more efficient and faster as everyone learns the new procedures.
Teachers focused on classroom management and expectations, while introducing high standards of the curriculum. We had an assembly on Friday, August 8, regarding school expectations and goals. We are focusing on being safe, respectful, kind, and positive!
As we begin the second week, we are encouraging our students to take beginning of the year testing seriously, and we set this school-wide goal:
By having a growth mindset, trying our best, and following school expectations, TOE students will:
Demonstrate an increase of 10%+ on each quarterly Math and ELA interim assessment (iMSSA).
We believe this is not only possible but will happen with the right climate, culture, and appropriate academic rigor. Let's make it a great year. Remember, you belong here!
