Here is the plain text:
Dear Families,
I would like to formally introduce myself as the new principal at Tohatchi Elementary School. I am deeply honored to serve this community, and I am looking forward to a wonderful year. I thank Robin Holder for her years of service in education and her graciousness in mentoring me and helping me prepare for the new school year.
I have spent 15 years teaching and leading in New Mexico in different capacities. I actually spent much of my career in Gallup, left for a bit, and I have returned home. I truly enjoy leading and helping others, as well as developing connections with others, and community is one of my number one priorities. I know from experience that working with families is key to student success, and my focus is not only to communicate clearly with families and the community but present a variety of opportunities for families to feel involved in their children's education.
On my own time, I enjoy spending time with my family, and I have a son who is 4 years old. I enjoy photography, as you will see evidenced by the walls of my office. I love spending time outdoors, helping others, reading, and writing. Truly, I love connecting with people and finding common bonds.
I look forward to a successful school year, and soon I will share more information about goals, our mission, vision, data, handbook, and more. For now, I wanted to introduce myself and say hello! I look forward to a prosperous and productive 2025 - 2026 school year. I truly believe anything is possible with the right mindset, especially a growth mindset.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Schools
